Your courage in doing what feels right is admirable. Thank you for sharing some of your thoughts and feelings around the decision! We can wholeheartedly affirm the amazing things that happen after the first year of hard work establishing relationships in a new place. We continue to think of you often! Maybe this way, I can plan a trip with seminarians from the context of my new job to visit you!

Jeff and Kara,
I heard the news about your extended stay in Malawi at work on Thursday. I’ve been following your experiences with interest, as my husband and I have been attending Belmont UMC since July. Blessings on you as you continue your ministry there. I hope to get to see you when you return to Nashville in April.

Well done! You all are gifts of hope and inspiration in Malawi and here in the States. Peace be with you now that this decision is both real and public. :) Let me know how we at UMPH can help with that income part…hopeful to have some time to hear even more stories once you’re back for a little while.
